I initially started going to a Chiropractor as riding many horses a day took a toll on my lower back. However, I noticed that after I was adjusted I was able to move more freely and also felt more balanced in the saddle. I then asked whether Chiropractic would benefit the performances of my horses and also noticed similar changes in their movement.
Whilst I was completing my Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Neuroscience and Physiology at the University of Adelaide, I was also working as a Chiropractic Assistant which sparked and grew my love and passion for Chiropractic as I was able to see first hand, the impact we can have on peoples lives.
After moving to New Zealand and studying at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic I knew I had made the right decision in terms of career, as getting to be a part of their journey to recovery and helping people to achieve their goals was so rewarding.
In addition to my BChiro, I have taken veterinary Chiropractic courses to further my knowledge and education in canine and equine anatomy and biomechanics and neurology.
"Through Chiropractic, I endeavor to help horses, dogs, and people achieve their goals and perform to the best of their ability."
EQUINE CHIROPRACTIC SERVICES
Equine chiropractic services can benefit horses of all disciplines, from competitive athletes to pleasure horses, promoting optimal health, comfort, and well-being. By addressing underlying biomechanical issues, equine chiropractic care plays a valuable role in maintaining and improving the horse's physical condition and supporting their overall quality of life.
CANINE CHIROPRACTIC SERVICES
Canine Chiropractic services provide specialized care and treatment for dogs' musculoskeletal health. Our adjustments focus on the alignment and function of the dog's spine, joints, and associated soft tissues. We assess the dog's posture, gait, and range of motion to identify any areas of restriction or misalignment. Through gentle adjustments and mobilisation, we aim to restore proper joint mobility, relieve muscle tension, and improve overall well-being.
HUMAN CHIROPRACTIC SERVICES
Having good biomechanical health is paramount for both horse and rider comfort. Sometimes there are compensations in the horse that affect the riders body, movement and position and vice versa. We work together to help bring about correct balance between both horse and rider. Chiropractic care focuses on the spine and nervous system and how those two interact.
Chiropractic care serves as a valuable complementary therapy for both horses and riders, promoting optimal musculoskeletal health, preventing injuries, and supporting peak performance. H&D Chiropractic offer a combination of packages tailored to both human, horse and dog to ensure performance, overall health and wellbeing.
